Professional Background: Began teaching since 1999 immediately after graduating from College. In 2003, I was promoted to be the Head of the Elementary Department. I was an exchange teacher in 2006 to 2009. At present, I teach Kindergarten and the Grade Level Chair. Also, I am on one of the committees to revise the Pacing Guide for the new curriculum (Common Core Standards).
Educational Background: I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in March 1999. Became a law student in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila from 1999 to 2001. Teaching is really my passion so I filed my leave of absence from the Law school to further my education in the classroom settings. I enrolled in University of the Philippines, Diliman in 2001 to 2005 where I was a candidate for a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. Also, I finished a course in Teaching English as a Second Language in De La Salle University Manila in 2006.Currently, I am enrolled in Lesley University for a Master's Degree in Technology in Education. Hopefully complete it in December 2012.
Professional Interests: I have the passion to share my expertise and train beginning teachers. Attending professional developments and workshops make me more knowledgeable about the trends in education.
Recent Readings: Teaching with Poverty in Mind by Eric Jensen, It's Your Time by Joel Osteen and The Confident Woman Devotional by Joyce Meyer.
Other: Won the Math Teacher of the Year for SY 2010-2011.
